Pilot. Danny (Kerr Smith)
and Dave (Hal Sparks) arrive in West Hollywood intent on making
it in show business. They luck into plum jobs at a talent agency.
But, when their powerful new boss (Harvey Fierstein) mistakes them
for a couple, they decide they either must play along or return
to Omaha.
Strange Bedfellows.
In a hilarious episode told from two different perspectives simultaneously
via split screen, Danny and Dave (Hal Sparks and Kerr Smith) wake
up in the same bed. As they try to piece together the events of
the night before, the sleeping arrangements become the least of
their worries when their neighbor accuses them of snatching his
poodle and a cadre of Columbian drug lords come looking for their
leader. Will Ferrell guest stars.
Gay Like Me.When Danny
and Dave need extra money for Rush tickets, they take jobs as cater-waiters.
But, when their new boss discovers them hitting on the waitresses,
they face hilarious discrimination. Variety hailed this episode
as “on television at some point.”
Out and About. Dave and
Danny are thrilled to make dates with two attractive women. Hilarity
ensues when it turns out to be a different kind of double date.
Meanwhile, Danny (Hal Sparks) must calm his mother (Delta Burke)
down when his picture appears in Gay Times. Waiter: Gilbert Gottfired.
I Am Curious, Taupe.
After an off-hand comment by the boss leaves them puzzled and questioning,
Danny and Dave (Hal Sparks and Kerr Smith) decide to get good and
drunk and try a little couch cuddling. Hilarity ensues when one
discovers something shocking about himself. Is this the end for
the platonic pals?
Kloset Kases. Danny and
Dave (Hal Sparks, Kerr Smith) must work fast to prevent the girls
next door (Guest stars Amber Benson and China Jesusita Shavers)
from finding out about their night of drunken exploration. Their
plan involves a night out dancing, a run-in with the first openly
gay Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, and the return of Sven, the
cross-dressing, illiterate dog walker (Will Ferrell).
Out of This Closet. Dan
and Dave meet Evie (Maureen Flannigan), a beautiful girl with a
secret. When Dave (Kerr Smith) is drawn to her, Dan (Hal Sparks)
contends with odd feelings for her boyfriend, Chris Fuller (Steve
Burton). Donna Pescow guest stars as Donna Garland in this Out
of This World reunion. Voice of Troy: Burt Reynolds.
Tighty Whiteys. Danny
and Dave (Hal Sparks and Kerr Smith) accompany their boss (Harvey
Fierstein) to a White Party. Hilarity ensues.
Merry Christmas, Mrs. Finkelstein.
Danny and Dave (Hall Sparks and Kerr Smith) learn a lesson in giving
when each makes an ironic sacrifice to buy the other a gift. Meanwhile,
Lenny's (Harvey Fierstein) mother (Anne Bancroft) pays a visit and
he needs the guys' help in convincing her he's not still single
Martinizing. Dave and
Danny (Hal Sparks and Kerr Smith) return for four blockbuster episodes.
This week, Dave convinces Danny to pretend they're a couple in order
to gain a discount for their local dry cleaner which complicates
Danny's plan to seduce the new receptionist at work (Michelle Williams).
The Kitten Episode. It
looks like the end for Danny and Dave (Hal Sparks and Kerr Smith)
when Danny's old girlfriend (Busy Phillips) returns and wants to
start again. While Danny decides whether to take her back, Dave
begins to come to grips with his own feelings for Danny and confesses
everything to his understanding boss (Harvey Fierstein).
Always a Bridesmaid.
With only two episodes left, Danny and Dave (Hal Sparks and Kerr
Smith) face life-altering decisions. While Dave decides whether
to confess his feelings to Danny, Danny's bride-to-be (Busy Phillips)
turns into a bridezilla, making everyone's life Hell. Meanwhile,
when Lenny (Harvey Fierstein) accompanies Danny to the tux shop,
he finds the last thing he expected: true love.
Love With the Proper Roommate.
As Danny (Hal Sparks) prepares to marry a woman he doesn't love,
Dave (Kerr Smith) tries to muster the courage to admit his feelings
to his best friend. There's only one person who can bring these
two together: Sven, the illiterate, cross-dressing dog walker. Will
Ferrell returns in the romantic series finale that moves from sunny
Los Angeles to rustic Vermont.
Whatever Lola Wants.
Seeing Lola (Charo) falling in love with Damien (Clive Owen) causes
Charlie (Charlie Hunnam) to ponder setting his bride free, even
though it may mean losing his chance to be King. The Queen (Maggie
Smith) becomes so preoccupied with her new paramour (Derek Jacobi)
she forgets to sign an important proclamation leading to the possible
secession of Scotland. But when Lola begins to see signs of jealousy
in Charlie, she begins to wonder if her husband may really love
her after all.
